Mission Statement:
Offers students an opportunity to continue their education from elementary school to post-high school levels. Also offers certificates of proficiency. Classes include high school completion, GED, vocational, English as a Second Language (ESL), citizenship, job preparation, and parenting classes as well as general interest courses (arts and crafts, physical fitness, etc). Career and educational counseling is also available by appointment. Some classes are available online. Course offerings vary by location: the Health Occupations Center focuses on vocational programs for healthcare services and the East County Career Center focuses on job skills training.

Our Facilities
Each term, more than 550 classes are offered days, evenings, and weekends in over 100 locations. In addition to many programs, the Adult School operates the East County Career Center which is a California designated One Stop Career Center. The Center offers a variety of workshops and classes to help adults find jobs.

The Center offers a full array of job search and career development programs for everyone throughout the county regardless of ethnicity, income, or employment status. The Center offers a variety of workshops including Career Explorations and relevant workplace skills.

  • You must have the following items for admittance to the Introduction to Center Services

  • Right-to-Work Documentation (Without document verification, you will not be able to attend). Documents must be original documents that are unexpired - copies are not acceptable.
